Hemp Fabric Care

Hemp will take good care of you, especially if you take good care of it. Below are some suggested tips for taking the best care of your hemp.

HEMP + ORGANIC COTTON BLENDS:

  • Machine wash cool, gentle with like colors.
  • Tumble dry, low heat. 
  • Do not use spot laundry cleaners, bleach or other chemical and enzyme cleaners like oxi-clean. 
  • Take care not to wash with garments with zippers or velcro or towels with texture as this will cause abrasion and pilling.

    HEMP +  WOOL BLENDS:

    • Follow the same instructions as above for Hemp + Organic Cotton blends, but be extra careful to only tumble dry on very cool settings. Laying flat to dry is the best way to maintain integrity of wool fibers.

    Disappointed in color

    "Washed white looked a lot more white in the photos, and for me a white shirt has to be WHITE. I have it next to a pro club shirt for comparison. I understand that even a hemp blend may not dye as well but the pictures were misleading, this is more like very light yellow. Otherwise it’s fine I guess, I like the material, it’s pretty comfortable. I’ll keep it, it’s not worth the trouble of returning, but if you’re like me and need your white shirts white get a different color from jungmaven. Also fyi not quite thick enough for the nipples to not show through, but I should’ve just gotten a thicker shirt."

    "I've been slowly replacing my merino shirts with hemp ones from Jungmaven and this is probably my favorite of any of the ones I've bought. Just took it on a 2 week trip to Europe and wore it for long walking days - super comfortable and airy despite being relatively thick fabric, and it barely developed any odor. (Just gave it a quick wash in the sink after a few straight days of wearing it and it was good as new again). Feels like it's going to hold up well for a long time. Definitely recommend!"
