Hemp is a naturally strong, durable fiber, which is why we use it to make clothing you'll wear for years. It's also a remarkable crop: in the right conditions, it grows with relatively little irrigation and fewer chemical inputs than cotton.
The facts:
Stronger fiber than cotton. In a peer-reviewed comparison, hemp fibers measured 310–850 MPa in tensile strength, compared with 287–597 MPa for cotton. [BioResources, NC State University]
Resists pilling and wear. In 2025 lab testing of woven bast-fiber fabrics, hemp earned the highest pilling-resistance rating of the fabrics tested, holding up across repeated wear cycles. [Fibres & Textiles in Eastern Europe, 2025]
Uses less water. Hemp uses about 38% less water than cotton over a growing season, and its water footprint is roughly 60% lower. [Journal of Agrometeorology, 2023; Journal of Cannabis Research, 2025]
Needs fewer pesticides than cotton. Cotton is one of the most pesticide-intensive US field crops, with 42 million pounds applied across 10.3 million acres in 2021. Hemp is typically grown with substantially less pesticide input. [USDA data via Organic Trade Association]
Captures carbon as it grows. Published estimates put hemp's CO₂ uptake at roughly 3–15 tonnes per hectare during cultivation. At the higher end, that outpaces the 2–6 tonnes per hectare per year typical of forests. [Portland State University review; University of Cambridge research]
Can help clean soil. Hemp roots can absorb low levels of heavy metals such as cadmium, lead, and zinc from soil. This process is called phytoremediation. [Portland State University review]
Facts refer to hemp fiber and cultivation. Many of our garments are hemp–organic cotton blends.

"The torso is a little long for me, I tried to give it to my bf who also thought the fit was a bit off for him. I love the fabric though!"
"Love this short sleeved sweatshirt. I am 5’8” 125 lbs and XS fit just fine. Neck was tight for my liking but you can stretch it when damp over hanger. Worked for me."
"Super comfy and soft. Fits true to size."
"Soft. A little long-would be better if it was a boxier fit. I felt like the arms were a little tighter than I wanted as well."
"I love this sweatshirt and how it reminds me of 70s style. The fabric on the outside is unique. This was a tad small and tight for me on the arms. I can wear either an xs or s and I should have gone with the small on this one."
"Love my raglan sherpa shirts! My goal is to have it in all colors. It’s soooo comfy, and a very nice fit. I should venture out and try something different, but I have no reason to do that right now. :)"
"Now, this is a stellar top. I live in LA, where you can experience 4 seasons throughout the day. This short-sleeved sweatshirt is a fantastic layering piece over long-sleeved tees and button-ups, short-sleeved tees, or tanks. The nubby sherpa texture adds interest to any outfit. I haven't stopped wearing it since it arrived. I'm 5'1 with some boob -- I often wear a M in women's tops as I like a relaxed fit -- and I got this in XS. It's long on me, like mid-hip, but the band at the hem allows me to blouse it up so it's oversized in just the right way but I don't feel like it's swallowing me whole."
"This top is super soft and very comfortable. Goes great with Jeans or skirts. It can be dressed up or down and I LOVE knowing it is all natural fibers. Thank you!"
"This short sleeve sweatshirt is so soft and comfortable. It is well made and shipping and packaging is great."
