They fit perfectly!
"They fit perfectly!"
Inspired by the sun-drenched style of early 80’s Southern California, featuring the same iconic cut as our Venice Short but in a soft hemp corduroy blend. Lean into the retro nostalgia with a rainbow of colors and don't worry about matching your top because these shorts are effortlessly versatile.
These styles are designed to be flattering universally, we encourage you to reference the size chart to find your best fit.
The finished garment is washed in color, rather than dying the fabric prior to cutting and sewing. This results in subtle variations of color and a softer texture. Washed White is not garment-dyed.

Hemp is a naturally strong, durable fiber, which is why we use it to make clothing you'll wear for years. It's also a remarkable crop: in the right conditions, it grows with relatively little irrigation and fewer chemical inputs than cotton.
The facts:
Stronger fiber than cotton. In a peer-reviewed comparison, hemp fibers measured 310–850 MPa in tensile strength, compared with 287–597 MPa for cotton. [BioResources, NC State University]
Resists pilling and wear. In 2025 lab testing of woven bast-fiber fabrics, hemp earned the highest pilling-resistance rating of the fabrics tested, holding up across repeated wear cycles. [Fibres & Textiles in Eastern Europe, 2025]
Uses less water. Hemp uses about 38% less water than cotton over a growing season, and its water footprint is roughly 60% lower. [Journal of Agrometeorology, 2023; Journal of Cannabis Research, 2025]
Needs fewer pesticides than cotton. Cotton is one of the most pesticide-intensive US field crops, with 42 million pounds applied across 10.3 million acres in 2021. Hemp is typically grown with substantially less pesticide input. [USDA data via Organic Trade Association]
Captures carbon as it grows. Published estimates put hemp's CO₂ uptake at roughly 3–15 tonnes per hectare during cultivation. At the higher end, that outpaces the 2–6 tonnes per hectare per year typical of forests. [Portland State University review; University of Cambridge research]
Can help clean soil. Hemp roots can absorb low levels of heavy metals such as cadmium, lead, and zinc from soil. This process is called phytoremediation. [Portland State University review]
Facts refer to hemp fiber and cultivation. Many of our garments are hemp–organic cotton blends.

"They fit perfectly!"
"Different cut than I have ever worn. High waisted with some elasticity built into the back and space in the legs. These don’t “grow” on me during the day the way many cords do. I often wear a medium in shorts in other brands but these are my first shorts from this brand and the larges are comfortable and fit at the waist. Love the fun colors!!"
"I love my cords. I have never found a short that fits me so well and is so versatile. Can't wait for the summer when I can wear them all the time!"
"Fun shorts that look awesome and are very functional. I have worn mine hiking, camping, working in the garden, trips to town, training. They have a comfy waste and I can do squats in them. Soft and cozy after just 1 wash."
"Adorable! Soft and love the color. These run small."
"I’m obsessed with these shorts. The fit is exactly what I was looking for. I have a 27” waist and 37” hips and was looking for a more relaxed fit so I got the M and it’s perfect. The elastic in the back of the waist makes them extra comfy and overall they’re pretty stretchy. The length is perfect too and they seem to be really well made. Highly recommend."
"These were cute but I had to send them back. They were too tight in the waist but fit everywhere else. The corduroy material was soft and felt rugged. The cut just wasn't right for me."
"I love them! The elastic is key ;)"
"i wanted to like them sooo badly! the material is sturdy but soft, the color just what i wanted (neon pink/coral), i bought a S then a M to see if the fit would be better… i’m hippy with a long torso/smaller waist and they just did not work at all."
"Perfect length to show some thigh. Love that the pockets are sewn in and don't flop around."
