Named for the legendary Swiss jazz festival, these easy cropped pants are made for moving and grooving. Crafted from a super-lightweight hemp-cotton blend, they offer a breezy, weightless feel against the skin. From casual beachside days to dressed up nights out on the town, the Montreux Pants effortlessly bridge the gap between relaxed comfort and refined style.
Men should typically size up, but fit is best determined by referencing the size chart. 'Women's Sizing' indicates sizing based on standard garment manufacturing terms, and is not meant to suggest gender identity.
The finished garment is washed in color, rather than dying the fabric prior to cutting and sewing. This results in subtle variations of color and a softer texture. Washed White is not garment-dyed.

Hemp is a naturally strong, durable fiber, which is why we use it to make clothing you'll wear for years. It's also a remarkable crop: in the right conditions, it grows with relatively little irrigation and fewer chemical inputs than cotton.
The facts:
Stronger fiber than cotton. In a peer-reviewed comparison, hemp fibers measured 310–850 MPa in tensile strength, compared with 287–597 MPa for cotton. [BioResources, NC State University]
Resists pilling and wear. In 2025 lab testing of woven bast-fiber fabrics, hemp earned the highest pilling-resistance rating of the fabrics tested, holding up across repeated wear cycles. [Fibres & Textiles in Eastern Europe, 2025]
Uses less water. Hemp uses about 38% less water than cotton over a growing season, and its water footprint is roughly 60% lower. [Journal of Agrometeorology, 2023; Journal of Cannabis Research, 2025]
Needs fewer pesticides than cotton. Cotton is one of the most pesticide-intensive US field crops, with 42 million pounds applied across 10.3 million acres in 2021. Hemp is typically grown with substantially less pesticide input. [USDA data via Organic Trade Association]
Captures carbon as it grows. Published estimates put hemp's CO₂ uptake at roughly 3–15 tonnes per hectare during cultivation. At the higher end, that outpaces the 2–6 tonnes per hectare per year typical of forests. [Portland State University review; University of Cambridge research]
Can help clean soil. Hemp roots can absorb low levels of heavy metals such as cadmium, lead, and zinc from soil. This process is called phytoremediation. [Portland State University review]
Facts refer to hemp fiber and cultivation. Many of our garments are hemp–organic cotton blends.

"Love these pants! I thought they were a little huge but washing shrank them. They either wore the thread off the butt in one day or I just didn't notice the problem when they arrived. I wanted more but the stitching thing is throwing me."
"Love the cut and deep indigo color of these pants. The length is perfect for me and the fabric is nice and breezy. They can be dressed up or down. I just wish the elastic in the waistband was a little bit looser (28-29” waist)."
"I really like these pants! I originally ordered an XL because I was nervous about the waistband being too tight, but I ended up exchanging for a L because there was too much extra fabric in the crotch. For reference, I’m about 5’ 4 with a 34” waist. The material is lightweight enough to wear in 100 temps, but the cut still feels put together. Glad I went ahead and tried these pants."
"I’m obsessed with these! As a petite woman, they’re the perfect pant… no need to get them hemmed. These have helped me find my style in motherhood"
"These pants are substantial, yet light, and I expect to be able to wear them throughout the fall (it is still in the mid-to-upper-80's here in the Midwest). They look a lot more polished than expected, as well, depending on how they are styled, and I have worn them to work a few times this summer. I am 5'6" and typically a size 14/32/XL, and the XL fit well."
"Great pants, roomy lightweight fabric, perfect summer pants to dress up or down"
"Nice fit on these, and beautiful fabric. Good for CA summer into fall."
"Not a fan, material felt thin and the hemp didn’t shine through in my opinion. Large was short and a bit too tight on my 5’7 170 pound body"
