Good undies
"These are well made and comfortable. I wish the leg was high cut because they’re not very flattering."
Say hello to our natural-fiber alternative to traditional synthetic Intimates. Our High Waist Brief features a thoughtfully tailored, dig-free design that won't bunch or constrict. Crafted from an ultra-soft blend of hemp and organic cotton, it delivers natural breathability with the perfect hint of stretch to move with your body.
Men should typically size up, but fit is best determined by referencing the size chart. 'Women's Sizing' indicates sizing based on standard garment manufacturing terms, and is not meant to suggest gender identity.
The finished garment is washed in color, rather than dying the fabric prior to cutting and sewing. This results in subtle variations of color and a softer texture. Washed White is not garment-dyed.
Hemp will take good care of you, especially if you take good care of it. Below are some suggested tips for taking the best care of your hemp.

Hemp is a naturally strong, durable fiber, which is why we use it to make clothing you'll wear for years. It's also a remarkable crop: in the right conditions, it grows with relatively little irrigation and fewer chemical inputs than cotton.
The facts:
Stronger fiber than cotton. In a peer-reviewed comparison, hemp fibers measured 310–850 MPa in tensile strength, compared with 287–597 MPa for cotton. [BioResources, NC State University]
Resists pilling and wear. In 2025 lab testing of woven bast-fiber fabrics, hemp earned the highest pilling-resistance rating of the fabrics tested, holding up across repeated wear cycles. [Fibres & Textiles in Eastern Europe, 2025]
Uses less water. Hemp uses about 38% less water than cotton over a growing season, and its water footprint is roughly 60% lower. [Journal of Agrometeorology, 2023; Journal of Cannabis Research, 2025]
Needs fewer pesticides than cotton. Cotton is one of the most pesticide-intensive US field crops, with 42 million pounds applied across 10.3 million acres in 2021. Hemp is typically grown with substantially less pesticide input. [USDA data via Organic Trade Association]
Captures carbon as it grows. Published estimates put hemp's CO₂ uptake at roughly 3–15 tonnes per hectare during cultivation. At the higher end, that outpaces the 2–6 tonnes per hectare per year typical of forests. [Portland State University review; University of Cambridge research]
Can help clean soil. Hemp roots can absorb low levels of heavy metals such as cadmium, lead, and zinc from soil. This process is called phytoremediation. [Portland State University review]
Facts refer to hemp fiber and cultivation. Many of our garments are hemp–organic cotton blends.

The High Waist Brief by Jungmaven® offers great coverage, perfect sizing, and unmatched quality. Customers appreciate its soft, thick, and stretchy fabric, as well as its comfortable fit. However, opinions on the waist are mixed, with some finding it too tight and high-waisted.

"These are well made and comfortable. I wish the leg was high cut because they’re not very flattering."
"Enjoy for nighttime and supportive for pp"
"These fit according to the size chart! They are cute and comfy and don’t ride up. They also make great period panties; even bloated these still fit nicely. I have replaced nearly all my underwear with Jungmaven at this point. Also good for running through sprinklers!"
"Best underwear I’ve ever had. So, so comfortable, and so flattering."
"So comfortable!"
"I was shocked to put this underwear on and feel embraced in actual thick fabric. I look foward to buying more."
"Love these! I sized up for comfort."
"Great underwear high quality, soft and fits true to size. Will buy more in the very near future. Excited to see the new color ways and try other styles."
"They’ve become my go to’s. I reach for them every time."
"I've been a longtime fan of Jung Maven's quality — I own the 100% Hemp Mana 10 T-shirt in multiple colors, which speaks for itself. So when I decided to transition away from lace bikini underwear to natural fiber basics, the High Waist Brief felt like a natural next step. Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase. As someone 5'6" and 107 lbs, size XS fits true to size. The waist elastic and leg openings are notably comfortable — they lie flat and don't show through clothing, which is a huge win for a non-seamless style. That's harder to get right than it sounds, and Jung Maven nails it. My one wish? More hip coverage. I have smaller-than-average hips and they still spill out slightly at the sides. For a high waist brief, fuller hip coverage would make this truly perfect. It's a minor note, but worth mentioning if that's a priority for you. If you're making the switch to natural fibers, this is a comfortable and well-constructed starting point — just size up if full hip coverage matters to you."
