Fabric Guide
Jungmaven tees are USA made with care and consideration. Fabrics that we use are list below and divided into light weight, mid weight and heavy weight fabrics.
Light Weight Jersey
- Light Weight 4.4oz 100% Hemp - The lightest 100% hemp jersey and also somewhat sheer in light colors. 100% hemp jersey is breathable, slightly slubby and very drapey, it feels like raw silk. It's naturally antimicrobial, moisture wicking and fast drying. 100% hemp jersey will become softer with every wear and wash, after several years the color will develop a garment washed patina. We offer the Alta Tee in this fabric.
Mid Weight Jersey
- 5oz. 55 Hemp | 45 Organic Cotton Blend: We love the slubby texture and character of the 55/45 blend and it's one of our core fabrics. The 5oz. weight is the lighter of the two mid-weight versions that we offer. It's a great weight for a tee that you can wear on it's own. We offer the 5oz. weight in the Jung Tee and the Lorel Tee.
- 7oz. 55 Hemp | 45 Organic Cotton Blend: The 7oz. 55/45 blend offers the same slubby texture and character and it's one of our core fabrics. The 7oz. weight is the more substantial of the two mid-weight versions that we offer. Tees and tops made with this fabric have more "body" than the 5oz. jersey. We offer the 7oz. weight in the Baja Tee and the Taos Top.
- Yarn Dyed 55 Hemp | 45 Organic Cotton Blends: Put simply, the yarns are dyed before the fabric is woven. We use this technique to create striped fabric rather than printing it. It's a more expensive process but results in fabric that feels better and washes well over time. We offer this fabric in both 5oz. and 7oz. weight stripes. - Mid-weight 6.8oz.100% Hemp: Our mid-weight 100% hemp jersey - this is the highest quality texture in the world of tees, we hope everyone can try on this fabric. 100% hemp jersey is breathable, slightly slubby and very drapey, it feels like raw silk. It's naturally antimicrobial, moisture wicking and fast drying. 100% hemp jersey will become softer with every wear and wash, after several years the color will develop a garment washed patina. We offer the 100% Hemp Tee.
- Yarn Dyed 6.8oz 100% Hemp Blends: Put simply, the yarns are dyed before the fabric is woven. We use this technique to create striped fabric rather than printing it. It's a more expensive process but results in fabric that feels better and washes well over time. We offer 100% Hemp in yarn dyed stripes in our Stripe 100% Hemp Tee.
Heavy Weight Jersey
- 10oz. 55 Hemp | 45 Organic Cotton Blend: The heaviest weight 55/45 blend. This weight is not typically used for tees, but this fabric is incredibly durable and lasts for many many years. We have offered this fabric in tees in the past but now offer it in mostly long sleeve styles like the California Pullover and Santa Cruz Hooded Pullover.
